Lactoferrin

Lactoferrin is an important immune supporting glycoprotein that is found in breast milk. Digestion of lactoferrin by gastric pepsin liberates the immune supporting peptide lactoferricin B. One of the biological activities of lactoferrin comes from its powerful ability to facilitate iron absorption.
